Charlotte School of Law’s new Center for Compliance and Ethics aims to increase awareness of the importance of compliance as a growing career field across various industries and specialty areas. The opening of the center is an important part of the school’s mission of training practice-ready professionals and delivering continuing education.
The center hosts various events for professionals interested in compliance in Charlotte and beyond that include Lunch and Learns, Webinars, and an Annual Symposium.
Today’s legal and regulatory climate is increasingly complex and ever-changing. As corporations seek to avoid liability, and create value, they are responding to the heightened expectations of self-governance by expanding their in-house compliance staffs. However, the supply of trained and certified compliance professionals can’t keep up with this demand
Leadership Emma Best, JD, is Executive Director of the Center for Compliance and Ethics and can be reached at firstname.lastname@example.org
